Canadian Airports Safety Week On-site Activities

Some of our activities require pre-registration before September 12.

Canadian Airports Safety Week (CASW) will be held online and on-site at locations across the airport from September 15 to 19, 2025. All airport employees are encouraged to participate.

This year’s activities and prizes are bigger and better than ever. Each part of our programming is a fun and engaging opportunity to test your skills and refresh your knowledge of health, safety and security. In addition to learning and enjoying these events with your coworkers, participants have the chance to win amazing prizes including vacation vouchers from Air Canada and Porter, and cash prizes totaling $3,000!

Some of our activities require pre-registration, so ensure you don’t miss the deadline!

 

Interactive Art Wall

When: September 15 to 21

Where: Terminal 1, employee service level

What: Tell us how you earn your Safety Wings with this interactive art installation.

How: Snap a photo. Share your story of what action you took to earn your safety wings. Post it to social media with #PearsonSafetyWings Inspire a culture of safety.

 

Safety Summit

When: Monday, September 15, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

What: The 2025 Safety Summit will take place on September 15, kicking off Canadian Airports Safety Week. The half-day event will involve high impact speeches, panel discussions and breakout sessions. The theme this year is “Building a Safer Tomorrow: Elevating our Strategies, Behaviours, & Mindsets.”

How: The Summit is an invite-only event for people across the airport who are leaders and influencers in safety, but insights from the event will be shared with the community.

 

Safety Cash Cab

When: Tuesday, September 16

Where: T1 and T3, groundside

What: The Toronto Pearson Safety team will offer airport employees the opportunity to test their knowledge on our daily safety and security themes. Participants will win on-the-spot rewards as well as entry into our daily draw for a cash prize!

How: Refresh your safety and security knowledge, then keep an eye out for the Safety Cash Cab to play and win!

 

Safety Road-eo

When: Wednesday, September 17, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: Terminal 3 – Satelite Pier A - A1C/A1D

What: The annual Airside Safety Week Road-eo is back! This driving challenge is an exhilarating opportunity to test your airside driving skills with an obstacle course and a chance to win an amazing cash prize. This activity is meant to showcase the challenges that ramp agents face on a daily basis while servicing aircraft. A valid provincial driver license and an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit is required to participate in the Road-eo, but those who don’t compete are welcome to watch and cheer on our colleagues.

How: To participate in the Safety Road-eo, register here by September 12.

 

Safety Fair

When: Thursday, September 18 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Where: Terminal 1 Lounge 15 departures level

What: This exciting and interactive event designed to raise awareness about the many occupational health, safety, and security programs available to everyone at Toronto Pearson. This is your chance to connect with our airport partners, explore key safety and wellness initiatives, and discover the management systems that help keep our airport running smoothly. With hands-on displays, expert insights, and fun giveaways, the fair promotes safe work practices while encouraging engagement, education, and teamwork across the GTAA and airport community. Whether you're a frontline worker or a team leader, come out to learn, connect, and reaffirm your commitment to safety — and have a little fun while you're at it!

Featuring: Big Ass Fans, SMS, Falcon Environment, Fire & Emergency Services, Pearson LIFT, WestJet, Air Canada, AVOP, KULR Technology, HUMED Clinic, Illuminex AI, IAM Toronto Pearson, and more!

How: Just show up! No registration is required for this event.

 

Foreign Object Debris (FOD) Walk

When: Friday September 19, 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Where: Terminal 1 and Terminal 3

What: This is a chance for us to stretch our legs and bring awareness to the dangers of foreign object debris (FOD). In order to help us keep the airside tidy, groups of participants will collect FOD in different locations across the airport. Prizes will be awarded for the most FOD collected as well as to the individual who finds the golden egg! Make sure to bring your safety vest and safety boots as you will be walking on the apron.

How: To participate in the FOD walk, register here by September 12.
