Final Approach Danville Terminal

We partnered with the City of Mississauga to create an airplane viewing platform at the park's pinnacle, located 25 metres above the surrounding area. This aviation-themed feature was designed with our community, who helped choose the name and some of the design elements.

The viewing area sits in the flight path of one of our runways. It includes:

  • A sleek overhead airplane statue
  • Painted runway
  • Informational plaques
  • A windsock to demonstrate wind speed and direction
  • Limestone that we donated from the former Avro Arrow building - an important piece of Canadian history
  • Accessible walkways
  • Seating

Thank you to everyone who contributed! With your help, we've created a fun and interactive space that reflects the community and honours its history.
