Why and how we partner with Sherbourne Health
Sherbourne Health is a Toronto-based community health centre that provides inclusive, affirming healthcare and social services, with a strong focus on equity and underserved communities. It is widely recognized for its leadership in supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals through culturally competent care, mental health support, primary care and community programs.
This collaboration reflects our belief that inclusion extends beyond the workplace and into the communities we serve. Over the past year, our employees and teams have contributed to several impactful initiatives:
- Advancing access to care: Through our participation in ICONIC, Pearson contributed $5,000 to support affirming healthcare services for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, helping reduce barriers and improve access to care.
- Supporting food security: Employees came together for a Holiday Hamper Drive, assembling 419 nutritious lunch boxes for community members, demonstrating the power of collective action and care.
- Creating inclusive pathways to employment: At a Trans and Non-Binary Career Fair our Employee Resource Group co-chaired, our Talent & Recruitment team engaged with over 200 job seekers supporting more equitable access to employment opportunities.
