The Passenger First Recognition Program celebrates airport employees who deliver exceptional passenger experiences at Pearson.

About the program

At Toronto Pearson, our shared vision is simple: to put the joy back into travel. The Passenger First Recognition Program brings that vision to life by celebrating the airport employees who make it a reality every day through consistent, high-quality, passenger-focused service.

Nominations are open year-round, with three employees awarded each month for the impact they've made. Every nominee is also automatically entered into the Passenger First Awards, celebrated annually as part of the Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Awards.

How it works

See a colleague go the extra mile? Celebrate them. Nominations are always open, and each one takes less than five minutes to complete.

Each month, approved nominations are entered into a draw to win one of three $50 gift cards and a commemorative pin. Every winner is also celebrated right here on this page, and through the I Am Toronto Pearson community.

Passenger First Annual Awards Ceremony

Once a year, we come together to celebrate the experience makers who make Pearson a place passengers remember for the right reasons. The Passenger First Awards are a part of the Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Awards Ceremony with the Eye on Safety Awards. This event brings together winners, nominees, leaders and the broader Pearson community to reflect on a year of safety milestones, exceptional service and the people who made it happen.

The Passenger First Awards ceremony honours outstanding nominees from across the airport community with four awards across two categories:
