Pearson partners with Spinal Cord Injury Ontario and Air Canada for Accessible Travel Rehearsal Tour

On December 3, Pearson is partnering to help participants with newly sustained spinal cord injuries build confidence and familiarity with air travel.

Toronto Pearson is proud to partner with Spinal Cord Injury Ontario (SCIO) and Air Canada to host a hands-on travel rehearsal tour designed for individuals who have recently sustained a spinal cord injury and are new to accessible air travel.

Taking place on International Day for Persons with Disabilities, this three-hour session will guide participants through the air travel journey—including check-in and security screening—with support from Pearson and Air Canada staff every step of the way.

Participants will also take part in live demonstrations of accessibility supports, including aisle chair use and eagle lift transfers, with opportunities to explore airport accessibility tools, ask questions, and build confidence ahead of future travel.

This event reflects Pearson’s ongoing commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and community collaboration, ensuring every traveller can experience a seamless and barrier-free journey through our airport.
