Navigating pickups doesn’t have to be stressful. That’s why at Pearson, we offer a simple, free space for drivers to wait until their passengers are ready for pickup: the Free Waiting Area.

What is the Free Waiting Area?
The Free Waiting Area is a no-cost area located close to Terminals 1 and 3, designed for drivers picking up arriving passengers. It gives you a safe, off-curb place to wait until your travellers are ready to be picked up.
Where is it located?
We have a Free Waiting Area lot serving each terminal:
Free Waiting Area 1 - 3340 Network Rd, Mississauga, ON L4V 1B5
Free Waiting Area 2 + EV Chargers* - 6145 Network Rd, Mississauga, ON L4V 0A1

These lots are just a short drive (under 3 minutes) from the terminals and help keep roads clear for everyone.
How long can you stay?
You’re welcome to park in the Free Waiting Area for up to 45 minutes. It is plenty of time for passengers to disembark, collect luggage, and head toward the pickup zone.
Which waiting area has free EV chargers?
There are 6 spots for DC fast charging stations at Free Waiting Area 2. Standard charging rates apply.
Why use it?
- Save time: you won’t waste it circling or waiting curbside.
- Reduce stress: no pressure to time your arrival exactly.
- Help traffic flow: by waiting off the curb, you help keep terminal lanes clear and safe.
- No cost: it’s free to use.
A reminder: don’t idle or stop at the terminal curbs. Curbside waiting is not permitted and may result in fines.
