Pearson and American Airlines are marking 85 years of partnership — a relationship that traces back to one of the most significant moments in the airport's history.
On June 24, 1941, American Airlines touched down at Pearson for the very first time, making it the airline's inaugural international destination and the first Canadian airport that American flew to. That single flight marked the beginning of a connection that has endured for more than eight decades, through generations of travellers and countless journeys across North America and beyond.
Today, American Airlines remains one of Pearson's most longstanding airline partners, continuing to offer passengers access to destinations across the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, and around the world through its expansive global network.
Pearson is proud to celebrate this milestone with American Airlines and to recognize the airline's enduring role in connecting people and communities through travel. Here's to 85 years — and many more to come.
