Let’s Celebrate Those Who Make Pearson Possible

On Wednesday, June 26th, the Canadian Airports Council is inviting airports across the country to celebrate the inaugural Airport Workers Day.

Toronto Pearson is taking the opportunity to show appreciation for the workers who make Canada’s largest airport possible.

Airport Workers Bring the World Together

Airport workers are the heartbeat of Canada’s economy.

Whether it’s connecting people from different walks of life, enabling the global movement of goods, or facilitating new adventures and opportunities through travel – they’re always working to move what matters.

They’re also invaluable members of the communities they serve. Since 1937, Toronto Pearson workers have supported local businesses – who have flourished from the stimulus that comes with proximity to one of Canada’s largest economic engines.

But most importantly, they prove themselves worthy of the trust Canadians place in them. From takeoff to landing, Toronto Pearson workers prioritize safety, efficiency, and innovation to get travellers and their families where they need to go.

A Community Committed to Excellence

Toronto Pearson is home to 50,000 employees and 400 employers – all united by the shared goal of running an airport that continuously raises standards.

The Engine of Our Economy

The Pearson Economic Zone is the second largest employment zone in Canada. Hosting over 400,000 jobs and providing $58 billion to Ontario’s economy.

Aiming For the Sky

Connecting more than 45M passengers annually to 180 destinations worldwide, Pearson consistently ranks among the best in both consumer and employee satisfaction thanks to the efforts of incredible workers.
