Katharina Grosse is critically acclaimed for her in situ painting style, where she masterfully applies, often with a spray gun, an explosion of colour directly onto architectural surfaces or landscapes.

The act of creating the artwork is immersive and reactive to the conditions of the site and its surfaces. Grosse’s Untitled was created onsite for Pier D in Terminal 1. The boldness of the colours and the energy that it exudes, juxtaposes beautifully with the contemporary architecture and pristine spaces of the terminal.
