In collaboration with Pearson Airport Explorers Club, Greater Toronto Airport Authority’s first-ever virtual Take Our Kids to Work Day showcases the dynamic aviation industry and provides a broader picture of some of the diverse career opportunities available at Toronto Pearson. Because the event is virtual, we’re pleased to be able to open this to all Grade 9 students of parents who work at Toronto Pearson.
To help you with organizing your day, we’ve made the content available a head of time. Begin the learning on our module.
Suggested Schedule for the Day:
- Self-directed Virtual Learning: Choose your own adventure of learning for two and half hours (over three and a half hours of learning available, students can come back any other day to explore other segments)
- Lunch: One-hour lunch break
- Parent/Guardian Job Shadowing: Two hours anytime during the day (this is your opportunity to share what you do at the Airport, your career journey, and your experience)
The program is online-only and there is no in-person element. The content is self-directed, and your Grade 9 student will be allowed to progress at their own pace.
The GTAA is delighted to impart a love of aviation. The opportunity to learn about the aviation industry will provide students with insight into the working world while showcasing the diverse career opportunities at Toronto Pearson.
