Volunteers Needed: 2026 Full-Scale Security Exercise

Help us test our response procedures in the annual full-scale security exercise on June 6

Toronto Pearson is conducting our 2026 Full-Scale Security exercise on June 6 to enhance our preparedness and response capabilities as part of the airport’s Operational Continuity & Emergency Management Program.

This critical training tests our procedures for responding to security incidents. Through these exercises, Toronto Pearson maintains readiness for emergency situations while meeting regulatory requirements.

We're committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety for all passengers and employees. As part of this commitment, we invite community members to participate as volunteers in this important exercise:

  • Volunteers will participate from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on June 6
  • Special volunteer t-shirts will be provided to all participants
  • Service animals are permitted (emotional support animals are not)

To participate, volunteers must be 18 years or older with government-issued ID (photo and signature); physically able to navigate stairs, terrain changes and various airport environments; and willing to experience emergency services activities including sounds and lights.

Registration closes on May 25, 2026, or when volunteer capacity is reached. For more information about the exercise, please contact emergency.management@gtaa.com.
