“My name is Jose and I have been with the Greater Toronto Airports Authority GTAA) for 18 years. My current role is a Resource Management Coordinator.
“I have always been passionate about working in the aviation industry and this role has amalgamated my passion for planes and travelling.
“I really enjoy working with such a dynamic team that has a wide range of skills and areas of expertise. We work well together to ensure the efficiency and safety of the airport operation at all times.
“Pride Month is an opportunity to celebrate diversity and inclusion. For me, it is a chance to reflect on how privileged we are to live in a society where we are all respected and regarded as equal. It is a time to celebrate the achievements of all those that came before us, paved the way and fought for our rights as humans, regardless of sexual preference or sexual identity.
“This is the first time that the GTAA is participating in the Pride Parade, organized by the City of Toronto, and as a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am happy to represent.
“For the last two years we have been living in a virtual world, so it will be a great opportunity to celebrate it with my husband, family and my chosen family.
“I’m looking forward to seeing everyone supporting our community and GTAA family.”
