Infield Concourse Flights

As Toronto Pearson continues to prioritize infrastructure work with the aim of continued safe operations and enhancing the service we offer to our valued passengers, we’re using our Infield Concourse (IFC) gates from April 24 to May 17 of this year for selected international flights departing from Terminal 1.

I’m departing internationally from Terminal 1. Where do I check in for a flight?

  • All passengers with flights departing from the IFC gates should arrive for their flight at Terminal 1 three hours in advance of their scheduled departure. Travellers will check in with their airline, go through security processes and check baggage at Terminal 1. The only difference is that departing passengers will be directed by their airline to gate E83, located in Terminal 1. From there, they’ll board a bus and be transported to the IFC gates. Arriving passengers will deplane at the IFC and will be taken by bus directly to Terminal 1 for customs processing and baggage pick-up.

How do I get to and from the IFC?

  • Buses to the IFC gates will run continuously for departing flights. Passengers should arrive three hours early for their international flight, and upon checking in should arrive at gate E83 at the time specified by their airline for boarding and travel to the IFC to ensure they will reach their gate by the boarding time specified by their airline. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes by bus, giving passengers an exciting view of the airfield in motion while they travel. Please arrive early for your flight to allow time for transportation by bus to the IFC gate and boarding on schedule. Passengers arriving on flights that use the IFC gates will be taken by bus directly to the Terminal 1 Canada Border Services Agency hall for processing through customs and will then reclaim their baggage or make their connection.

What services are at the IFC?

  • The IFC is equipped with five bridged gates, washrooms, lounges, information desks and some retail and food amenities. Passengers are encouraged to arrive three hours early for their flight and use the shops, restaurants and services in Terminal 1 before boarding the bus to the IFC for a wider variety of amenities.
