My day starts by making sure I have the human power and ground support equipment needed to meet the arrivals, monitoring the ETA of the flights as they make their way in. I will debrief our crew and go through the pre-arrival checklist with them and look for any special requirements.
Working under the new restrictions since the pandemic began has made it very challenging, but my favourite part of the job is the people I work with. We are a family at GTAdnata, and we’ve grown so much in the last six years.
As frontline employees at the airport, we are continuously working to keep Canada’s door open to cargo, such as necessary supplies for frontline workers and other goods to keep the economy rolling. It is particularly special when we welcome vaccines that the entire country has been waiting for. The team and I were very, very proud to have played a part in assisting with the recent arrival of the Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
Rain or shine, hot or cold, we are always going to be there on the ramp offering our best to help our community.”
