In celebration of our fourth “Best large airport in North America” win and our new “Best hygiene measures in North America” recognition in ACI World’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey, we’re profiling the people who made it happen—our employees! Meet Randy, Custodial Associate with our cleaning partner, Dexterra.
Randy is responsible for keeping Toronto Pearson clean, but in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, his job focuses on sanitizing surfaces and high contact touchpoints following Healthy Airport protocols.
“Because of this pandemic, it is critical that employees and passengers alike have a safe experience at the airport. With enhanced cleaning procedures, I play an important role in helping reduce the spread of viruses and help in a smooth airport operation,” says Randy. “Sanitizing airport business partner offices and passenger areas is a huge responsibility, so I take immense pride in what I do.”
“Dexterra demonstrates what the ASQ award is all about—ensuring Toronto Pearson is at the forefront of enhanced cleaning,” adds Randy. “On a personal note, I always try to be kind to our passengers and offer my help. This is what the Pearson spirit is all about.”
Thanks for everything you do, Randy!
Be sure to check back each week as we profile a new employee as part of the celebrations around our recent ASQ win. To learn more about our 2020 ASQ award recognitions, visit our ASQ news article.
