GTAA Board member and former Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion is celebrating an important milestone this weekend as she celebrates 100 years! On behalf of our airport community, we thank Ms. McCallion for her commitment to the City of Mississauga, its people and Toronto Pearson!
Ms. McCallion has played a special role in supporting, building and transforming our region. She holds the distinction of being one of the longest serving Mayors in Canada, having served as Mayor of the City of Mississauga for 36 years. She now plays a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding Canada’s largest airport as a member of Pearson’s Board of Directors.
We are grateful for Ms. McCallion’s support of our Southern Ontario Airport Network (SOAN) initiative, engaging SOAN at provincial events like the annual AMO conference; her continuing commitment to Mississauga community partnerships like our ongoing involvement in the Streetsville Bread and Honey Festival and many, many other Mississauga organizations; and for her continued guidance as a member of our Board.
