Last week, the GTAA was ranked in the top third of the “best employers in Canada”. Forbes’ annual Canada’s Best Employers list for 2022 ranks the 300 best employers identified by their independent survey. The GTAA ranked 3rd among all Transportation and Logistics companies on the list.
Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to create the sixth annual ranking. To determine the list, Statista surveyed more than 100,000 Canadians working for businesses with at least 500 employees. All the surveys were anonymous, allowing participants to openly share their opinions. The respondents were asked to rate, on a scale of zero to ten, how likely they’d be to recommend their employer to others. Statista then asked respondents to nominate organizations other than their own.
We’re incredibly proud of this news, as it’s representative of the dedication, engagement and positive attitudes that abound here at the GTAA, especially during the challenges of the last year-and-a-half.
This includes the ongoing work towards our Healthy Airport program to ensure the health and safety of our passengers and employees, facilitating the vital flow of air cargo and a swift, effective response to the third-largest snow event in our history, most recently, to name just a few examples.
In the last couple of years, we have sharpened our focus on diversity, equity and inclusion; placed increased attention on health and wellness; created a results-oriented culture; and involved employees from across the business as we develop the workplace of the future.
We sincerely thank our employees for continuing to put their trust in our organization. We will always be stronger as one, and we are committed to constantly improving as an employer.
Finally, we would like to congratulate some of our neighbouring partners on the achievement of being named to this list, including the City of Mississauga, City of Brampton, City of Toronto and many others.
