GTAA CEO Deborah Flint speaks on recovery and a sustainable future for aviation

Yesterday, Deborah Flint, President and CEO of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, spoke at the Airports Council International (ACI) Latin America-Caribbean and ACI World Annual General Assembly, Conference and Exhibition on recovery and a sustainable future for aviation as part of the Aviation Leaders Panel, moderated by CNN en Español anchor Gabriela Frias.

“Airports are playing a leading role in environmental sustainability, evidenced by ACI’s continued support and facilitation of member airports’ innovative sustainability efforts,” said Ms. Flint, “but clearly, airports are one part of a much larger ecosystem. We must work better and more closely with our many partners on industry-wide solutions—from sustainable aviation fuels to hydrogen and electric vehicles and much more—that will generate long-term benefits.”

Delegates heard the leaders’ views on challenges and opportunities related to the sustainable recovery of the air transport industry, collaboration among airports and airlines and lessons learned from the pandemic.
