Last year, we served nearly 50 million passengers, and by the mid-2030s we could welcome some 85 million passengers a year. A lot of the work we do at Pearson is about planning for this growth.
Gate C30 in Terminal 3 was upgraded earlier this week to handle larger aircraft like the Boeing 777 and the Airbus A380, increasing our capacity and making for a more comfortable boarding and deplaning experience for you. This is the fourth gate upgrade of its kind at the airport. Testing of the gate was completed successfully and we’re already welcoming flights!
