Etobicoke Creek Trail improvements

The City of Mississauga has recently completed improvements to the entire Etobicoke Creek Trail, which includes along the western perimeter of Pearson.

While walking or cycling along the trail, you can watch planes take off from and land, as well as local wildlife in action.

The improvements were funded through the Government of Canada’s shared funding Public Transit Infrastructure Fund program and included:

  • asphalt resurfacing and widening parts of the 11-km trail
  • updated wayfinding signage
  • centre-line painting
  • installation of rest areas, pedestrian counters and bicycle repair stations

The Etobicoke Creek Trail will eventually extend 50km from the shores of Lake Ontario, north through Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton, to the headwaters of the Etobicoke Creek in Caledon.
