TORONTO, CANADA - We welcome the Independent Toronto Airspace Review commissioned by NAV CANADA, and we will work with NAV CANADA and our Community Noise Committee to review the recommendations and understand its implications for all GTA communities.

Toronto Pearson serves Canada’s largest and fastest growing metropolitan area. We are committed to managing and reducing the impact of our operations. This winter, The GTAA will release an updated five-year Noise Management Action Plan. This Plan will incorporate the findings of the Independent Toronto Airspace Review, as well as several different initiatives, including a review of best practices from leading airports, and many public consultations completed over the past year.

Ultimately, meaningful solutions to reducing the impact of aircraft noise requires consultation with our neighbours as well as action from air carriers, NAV CANADA, and Transport Canada. We are committed to working constructively with all of our stakeholders to reduce to reduce aircraft noise and make Toronto Pearson a model for responsible growth.
