Where do the raised funds go?
The Runway Run is our annual fundraising event benefitting Propeller Project, Toronto Pearson’s community investment program. It has a long history of providing funding and support to local organizations that enhance community life, with a focus on providing employment support in neighbourhoods around our airport.
A portion of proceeds raised go directly to the Propeller Project and towards sustaining this fantastic fundraising event year after year for the enjoyment of the community.
Where does the run take place?
The Run takes place on Runway 06R-24L with the kick-off starting at our Airside Maintenance Facility (AMF) located at 3045 Electra Court.
Mississauga Transit or TTC will take you to the corner of Convair Drive and Renforth Drive. From there it is about a seven-minute walk to our AMF building, where our event kicks off with check in and warm up. From there, you will be escorted to the runway for the 5K Run/2K Walk. There will be plenty of signage once onsite to direct you to parking.
We’ve partnered with The Running Room and on-line registration is coordinated through its website.
Registration for the 2019 run will open this summer.
Registration is required in advance. Because of security requirements, we can't accommodate anyone who has not pre-registered.
There is a registration fee to participate in the 5K Run and 2K Walk. Participants will receive a complimentary T-shirt and medal with entry.
