Beginning in 2011, Toronto Pearson began an ambitious program to refresh our dining options and provide a food and beverage offering to rival any airport in the world. And the results are beginning to show. With new options in family friendly favourites, healthier choices and meals for the discerning diner, we’ve brought you a broad selection of new places to eat and drink, with even more on the way.
We’re proud to announce that more variety, quality, local flavours and well known chefs will continue to change the dining landscape at Toronto Pearson in 2014 and 2015. In conjunction with global restaurateur HMSHost, we’re pleased to offer more than a dozen new dining locations beginning to open next summer.
Concepts in development include:
The Hearth: Serving Terminal 1, USA Departures, The Hearth offers flavourful creations of hearth-fired flatbreads, fresh salads, sandwiches and small plates, in partnership with celebrity chef and celebrated cookbook author Lynn Crawford.
Asian Kitchen by Susur Lee: World renowned chef Susur Lee brings bistro style entrees with modern Asian and French influences to Terminal 1, International Departures.
Twist: Twist will offer a “global twist” on locally sourced North American comfort foods with menu items like Splat Scones, made with Devonshire cream, lavender honey, and peameal bacon; and the Roasted Cornish Hen with Moroccan spice rub, created by Toronto television host and cookbook author Roger Mooking.
Paramount:Serving Terminal 1, Presecurity and Terminal 3, International Departures, these Middle Eastern restaurants will feature the freshest Ontario barbeque grilled halal meats, and favourites such as shawarma, freshly baked pita bread, hummus, sandwiches and pizza, part of a family of well-known Toronto restaurants.
Caplansky’s Deli and Caplansky’s Snack Bar: Toronto favourite Zane Caplansky brings traditional Jewish deli offerings including breakfast plates, heaping deli sandwiches and home-style dinner entrees to two locations, one in Terminal 1, Presecurity and one in Terminal 3, Domestic Departures.
Bar 120: Cuisine Transformed: Serving Terminal 1, Domestic Departures, Bar 120 will create a dining experience for travellers featuring recognizable food with a twist of modern molecular cuisine developed with Toronto’s renowned modernist chef John Placko.
Barcuterie: A new concept, Barcuterie will feature a fine array of cured meats, cheeses, along with craft cocktails, local beers and wines, in Terminal 1, Presecurity.
