  • Here are a few things to keep in mind if you're connecting through Toronto Pearson, and a few things to help you fill the time between your flights.

     
    Connecting within Canada in Terminals 1 & 3
    If your baggage is tagged to your connecting flight follow the or connections signs to your connecting gate. Flights departing from gates are located in Terminal 3. Flights departing from gates are located in Terminal 1. Please note that if you are changing terminals you will be required to undergo security screening once you enter the other terminal, prior to entering the departure gate area.

    If your baggage is not tagged to your final destination, follow the Baggage Claim signs to retrieve your baggage, and then proceed to your departing airline's check in area.

    Connecting to the United States – Departing from Terminal 1
    Follow the connections signage to the U.S. connections area. Upon entry, scan your boarding card at the kiosks. Look at the flight status displays. Once your name appears on the screen, proceed to U.S. Customs and Border Protection for processing, followed by security screening.

    Connecting to a Terminal 1 U.S. Flight from Terminal 3
    Toronto Pearson is your first point of entry into Canada. Therefore, even if your baggage is tagged through to your final destination, you are required to pick it up from Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
    Once you have been processed by CBSA, re-check your bags in the Connections Centre at Terminal 3 and follow the connections signage to Aisle G. Proceed down Aisle G and enter the U.S. connections area.
    Upon entry, scan your boarding card at the kiosks. Look at the flight status displays. Once your name appears on the screen, proceed to U.S. Customs and Border Protection for processing, followed by security screening.

    Connecting to an International (excluding the United States) flight - Departing from Terminal 1
    If your baggage is tagged to your connecting flight follow the connections signs to your connecting gate.

    If your baggage is not tagged to your final destination, follow the Baggage Claim signs to retrieve your baggage, and then proceed to your departing airline's check in area.

    Connecting to an International flight within Terminal 3 (excluding United States)
    If your baggage is tagged to your connecting flight follow the or signs to your corresponding connecting gate. Please note you will be required to undergo security screening prior to entering the departure gate area.

    If your baggage is not tagged through to your final destination follow the baggage claim signs to retrieve your checked baggage and then proceed to your departing airline's check in area.

    Connecting Between Terminals

     

    The fastest way to get around is using the Terminal LINK bus. It’s free, wheelchair accessible and connects you to Terminals 1 & 3 in minutes.
